New Trends in Leather Dyestuff Development and Classification
Abstract
A number of dyestuffs of known chemical structure have been examined with a view to ascertaining whether there is any correlation between the chemical constitution of the dyestuff and the dyeing behaviour. There are indications that some correlation could exist and, for the dyestuffs examined, the quotient of the number of azo groups and sulpho groups appears to give a reasonable measure for the affinity and behaviour of the dyestuff.
