The Production Of Differential Dyeing Effects On Furskins
Abstract
The employment of dye-resists to produce differential dyeing effects in furskins is described and some of the drawbacks mentioned. The dyeing of furskins with inorganic compounds suitable for sub sequent bleaching has been found satisfactory for obtaining the desired colour effects. Details are given for the required dillerential colouring of the hairs of Indian Lambskins. The nature of the chemical com pound responsible for the grey bluish-black shade is discussed.
