Abstract
Originally, pancreatic enzymes were used for enzymatic processes in the beamhouse, such as soaking, hair loosening, and bating. Important progress has been made by isolating suitable enzymes from mould fungi and bacteria whereby the operating methods are simpli fied and improved and the possibilities of applying them multiplied.
