The Two-Dimensional Deformation of Shoe Upper Materials
Abstract
Some studies of the two-dimensional deformation properties of corfam and a chrome upper leather are described. The best samples were subjected to a series of extensions in two dimensions and the load/extension properties of each sample have been related to a linear equation with four constants. The corfam samples have been tested at various orientations to the direction of the roll. The measurements for the leather samples have included a survey over the areas of a matched pair of sides.
