Journal of the SLTC - Editorial Committee
The Society of Leather Technologists and Chemists is seeking volunteers to join a new Editorial Committee supporting the Journal of the Society of Leather Technologists and Chemists (JSLTC).
The Committee will undertake technical reviews of submitted papers, helping to ensure their scientific and technical robustness before they are approved for publication. Malcolm Leafe, our Honorary Editor, will coordinate the review process and remain responsible for all final editing prior to publication.
The Journal publishes six issues each year, with approximately four papers appearing in each issue. We are seeking at least six to eight individuals whose collective knowledge will provide a broad range of expertise across leather science, technology, manufacturing and related disciplines. It is anticipated that each Committee member will be asked to review approximately four papers per year, depending upon the subject matter of submissions received.
These are voluntary positions and offer an excellent opportunity to contribute to the quality and continued development of our respected Journal, while supporting the dissemination of valuable technical knowledge throughout the leather industry. Editorial Committee members do not need to be members of the SLTC. We would therefore be grateful if you would share this invitation with colleagues or other suitably qualified individuals who may be interested in contributing.
Further information about the role and the areas of expertise sought can be found in the nomination form below. Anyone wishing to be considered should complete the form and return it to Monika at Monika@sltc.org.
We hope that members of our wider technical community will support this important initiative and help us maintain the quality and standing of the JSLTC.
