Cricket, Leather and Balls

Abstract

If you are still with me, I will explain that what follows is a small attempt to tell a story of the possible history of the game as an introduction to the leathers used in the construction of the ball, and a little of today’s ball manufacturers. (Thus, the author explains the construction of the ball and the leathers used by relating them to the properties required as a result of the development of the game.)
