Abstract

In conjunction with the Chemical Analysis committee of the SLTC, Interlaboratory trials were organised for the testing of Chrome as Cr₂0₃ and substances soluble in Dichloromethane using BS 1309. Initial results indicated problems with specific laboratories who could not provide results to an adequate level of precision. These problems have been resolved on an individual basis and highlighted errors in equipment, methodology and calculation. The results from all laboratories indicate more general problems in using BS 1309.
