Abstract

Work has been conducted to determine the activity of several fungicides on wet chrome tanned material using the BLMRA laboratory fungicide test as approved by the National Testing Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (NATLAS). From this we are able to assess the cost effectiveness of different fungicides, enabling the tanner to make an accurate choice to suit his own particular requirements. In other studies we have investigated the distribution of fungicide within and between hides processed in commercial production lots.
