Abstract

This paper deals with the techniques for preparation of a single-component polyurethane coating based on castor oil and its application for finishing of leather. Various physical properties were measured to assess the quality of finished leather after coating it with the polyurethane composition. Optical and scanning electron microscopy studies were undertaken to investigate the compatibility of polyurethane coating with leather.
