Abstract

Pickled goatskins were used for the production of glacé leather. The whole process is based on use of a vegetable extract and aluminium salt combination tannage. Ladies shoes were manufactured from this leather. In order to determine the characteristics of this type of leather a series of tests were carried out by a research centre specializing in footwear.
