Area Weight Yields in Dressing E.I. Crust Stock

Abstract

A study has been made of the area yields of El. crust sheep and kips after dressing. A straight line relationship exists between the average weight of the crust stock and the weight per ft of the dressed leather. Results, covering several million ft of leather, indicate methods whereby area yields can be systematically checked and alterations in process work reliably assessed.
