Abstract

The paper describes the design parameters and techniques used in a custom built tannery waste water treatment plant. The tanneries concerned produce a wide variety of different leathers and thus the plant has been designed to handle many different pollutants. Full details are given of loadings, effectiveness, chemicals consumed and power requirements.
