Abstract

Pigments are one of the main constituents of a leather finishing mixture, yet we are all inclined to take them for granted. Just something that colours the leather, perhaps covering up some defects or mistakes before the tanner can sell his leather. The purpose of my paper then is to shed some light on pigments, their purpose, type, properties and dispersion.
