Abstract

A nanocomposite RNS/P(MAA-BA) was prepared and applied in tanning pickled goatskins . After tanning with RNS/P(MAA-BA) the tensile strength and other physical-mechanical properties of the resultant leather improved compared with those of chrome tannage. Leather tanned with RNS/P(MAA-BA) is full, soft and possesses fine grain as well as a high shrinkage temperature.
