Abstract

This paper, using goat leather samples, firstly established a suitable quality evaluation method for assessing leather cross section images to be used for three-dimensional reconstruction. We then studied the influence of microscope parameters and metallographic sample preparation conditions on image quality during the process of obtaining images in order to determine the operational parameters of the microscope and to optimize the metallographic sample preparation method and its process conditions.
