Resource Utilisation of Solid Leather Waste: Part 2 A Review

Abstract

As mentioned in the first part, solid leather wastes generated during beamhouse and pretanning stages can be re-utilised in a various ways to prepare some useful materials by adopting a waste-towealth approach. The present section deals in possible utilisation of wastes generated during tanning, post-tanning, and finishing stages to produce different value-added materials (Scheme 1).
