Routine Preparation And Staining Of Sheepskin Sections For Histological Examination
Abstract
A technique is described for the routine processing, embedding, and sectioning of sheepskins for histological examination. Polyester resin embedding is used in preference to wax embedding. Modification of conventional staining techniques is required when this method is used, and details are given of “Trichrome” staining procedures for demonstrating skin structure, and of a method for staining bacteria in skin sections.
