Abstract

Application of MTA in the retannage of soft cattlehide upper leather has been studied by the official test (Beijing University test). The results show that the leathers are of high quality with good grain, fullness and elasticity. Furthermore, MTA is convenient to use and does not affect the dyeing or fatliquoring.
