Abstract

Compounds analogous to 1,3-oxazine viz 2H-l,3-benzoxazine were prepared by condensation of salicy laldehyde and substituted salicylaldehydes with ammonium acetate and ethanol at O°C—5°C. The fungicidal effects of these compounds on fungi such as Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus fumigatus, Candida sp., Penicilliumfellutamurn and Mucor sp. were studied.
