The Heterogeneous Interaction Between Sulpho-Syntans and Collagen, Part III: The Tannin Fraction
Abstract
The value of the tannin fraction is dependent on a number of variables and its determination is, therefore, fraught with a whole range of systematic errors. The tannin fraction is defined on a molecular level and its physical form is explained. The relationship enabling the tanning fraction to be calculated from measurable experimental data are derived. Knowledge of this tannin fraction is necessary for calculation of the sulpho-group binding parameter.
