Abstract

The first question to ask is why a company would want to implement an EMS. For us the answer was easy because being part of Scottish Tanning Industries group, we pursue excellence in everything we do. We consider care of the environment to be an integral part of our management philosophy, sharing equal billing with health and safety and quality. Our eventual objective is to have an integrated management system combining all three as the structure and procedures are essentially the same.
