The Influence Of Some Parameters In Leather Degreasing On The Lypolytic Activity Of Lipase

Abstract

We have investigated the influence of the temperature, pH, concentration of Na2CO3, alkaline proteinase (Product 1), anionic and non-ionic surface-active substances (Product 2) over the lypolytic activity of Lipase when used for the purpose of leather degreasing. The lypolytic activity is analysed in FIP units, according to a standard method. We have showed that at t = 30°C; pH = 8; 2g/l Na2CO3; 2g/l Product 1 and 2g/l Product 2, the activity of lipase is 120% of its maximum value at t = 37°C and pH = 7. The results may be used to determine the levels of application of Lipase in degreasing of leathers with different contents of fats.
