Abstract

Investigations into the effect of some factors on the results of the lastability test have shown that a good reproducibility can be obtained. Comparing the results of the lastability test and those at grain crack of other tests (lastometer and tensile test) a moderate relationship was found in one comparison only. With the aid of the lastability test one will obtain more useful information about the lasting behaviour of the leather than with the lastometer and the tensile test.
