Waterproofing And Reduction Of Water Solubles Of Sole Leather
Abstract
The reduction of water solubles in the sole leather tannages by the use of basic suiphates of aluminium, chromium and zirconium or alum dipping or urea formaldehyde resin is presented and discussed with the necessary data. The properties of the leathers thus produced are described. From this intensive study, a most suitable method for waterproofing of sole leather is recommended.
